Overview: The Harris IRT Enterprises Portable Limit Sensing Resistance Tester - Model 5012-06XP - is designed for production resistance testing in an industrial environment where a small footprint and portability are essential. As a high resolution, digital ohmmeter, the Model 5012-06XP couples limit-sensing, laboratory precision with the durability required by industrial resistance testing applications, as well as the portability asked for by many of our customers. The Model 5012-06XP uses a four wire Kelvin connection to eliminate inaccuracies due to test lead length and contact resistance. When a large number of similar components are to be tested, high and low resistance limits are set using front panel thumb-wheel switches. Indicator LEDs illuminate when a component's resistance is above, below or within set test limits. An output relay is triggered to permit the automated rejection of unacceptable or improper components. Options –TC: Ambient temperature compensation permits test of components as if they were being tested at laboratory standard temperatures. Option -AL: An audible alarm can be provided to announce an 'in tolerance' test. This can speed up manual testing as the operator does not need to look at the meter reading to see if the component is 'in spec'. Option -230V: 230Volt 50-60Hz. transformer can be installed per your order for overseas locations. Specifications: Measurement range from .001 Ohm to 20,000 Ohms in six ranges. The portable digital resistance tester -Model 5050-06XP- from Harris IRT Enterprises is designed for high resolution, production resistance testing in an industrial environment. As a high resolution digital ohmmeter, the Model 5050-06XP couples laboratory precision with the durability and low cost required by industrial resistance testing applications. By using a four wire, Kelvin based, resistance measurement system, the Model 5050-06XP eliminates the inaccuracies introduced by test lead and contact resistance. With the RS-232 computer interface, it can readily be integrated with in-plant computers for automated testing and data acquisition. It is also extremely economical when use for spot checks or short production runs. The lightweight, plastic and aluminum case comes with a bail foot handle, for easy carrying. The handle can also be set for individualized ergonomic comfort for use at a bench-top station. Option -TC will provide compensation for ambient temperature so that parts can be measured as if they were in a controlled environment at the specified measurement temperature.
