Return Policy:

If you ever need to return a Harris IRT Instrument to the factory, we request that you contact us by phone at 740-369-3580, or by email at kharris2@earthlink.net, to obtain a Return Authorization Number.  Your RA# will help us to schedule giving your instrument prompt attention and will  insure we have the information we need to provide the service you need and return your instrument as soon as possible to the proper address.  Please have the instrument Model Number and serial number available when you contact us for your RA#.

Please pack your instrument well to prevent damage in shipping.  If you have the original package it was shipped in, this will serve well for returning it to us.

Warranty Returns:
If your instrument is being returned under our one year warranty, there will usually be no charge for repair service.  In addition, we will pay for the return shipping by the same method we received the instrument from you.  If the instrument seems to have been used improperly we will contact you to discuss the problems that we have found.

Repair Service:
Repairs are generally done at a fixed rate of $86.00 per hour of bench time, plus any parts required.  Most repairs are finished in under one hour.  If repairs exceed this level we will contact you to discuss what we have found.  All repairs include a complete system check out and a standard calibration using our certified and traceable standards.  Note that this does not constitute a certified calibration as we do not keep long term records for this type of service.

Certified Calibration:
Where a certified calibration is required, we will keep long term (5 year) records of the calibration standards used, their certificates of traceability, the readings your instrument came to with, and the readings after our calibration.  With this type of calibration you will receive a hard copy of your calibration certificate with a listing of the standards used and their certificate numbers.  The standard charge for this service is $204.00.  Note that all new instruments are shipped with a calibration certificate and do have certified traceable calibrations.  To have us maintain your certification you must return the instrument to us a few weeks before your one year calibration expires, for re-certification.  We are now mailing reminders to help you keep your certification current.
